10 Easy Crochet Heart Patterns


With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it’s definitely time to start working on some heart patterns. So I thought it would be fun to share some heart themed projects all along.
I love making handmade gifts and giving a handmade gift on Valentine's Day is great because it shows that you took out time from your day to create something from your heart for somebody. 
Crochet heart patterns are always a popular choice at Valentine's Day.Here's a list of free crochet heart patterns for you to give a try. I am sure you would love them!


1. Love Hearts from Planet June

This is a clever little pattern to make sweet hearts in three sizes – each heart builds on the pattern of the previous heart. You can also make a bonus puffy heart to give a total of 4 different designs in this one pattern! String them into a garland, add a pin back to make a cute brooch, or fill a bowl with pretty hearts for Valentine’s Day decorating.

My Basic Crochet Heart measures one and a half inches (4 cm) across at the widest point, using a 100% mercerized cotton sport weight yarn (Katia Capri) and a 3.0 mm hook.

Who says hearts are just for Valentine’s day? I had a lot of fun designing this heart… which I used upside down as the bunny face for my Easter Bunny Wall Hanging. When you need a little love, this crochet heart pattern is just the thing.

This is a quick pattern I use often for making decorations for hats and cards.The pattern works for most wool and hook sizes, just match your hook to the label on the yarn.


10.Heart Coasters or Appliques from Jessie at Home


This is a quick and simple crochet heart that has many uses. I like to sew them onto a piece of felt to make coasters. I use a sewing machine and stitch along the sc boarder. They can also be used as decorations on hats, scarves, skirts, purses, or whatever makes you happy!
